Three Reasons to Repair Rather Than Replace Your Fence

Staying on top of repairs and maintenance is a big part of home ownership, and costs can add up quickly! At Certified Fencing here in Twin Falls, Idaho, we are all about helping our clients cut costs and maximizing the use they can get out of their fences. If your fence is beginning to show signs or wear and tear, it may be time to consider replacement or repair. While some fences may need the full replacement, here are three reasons to consider a repair where possible:

1) Affordability

Replacing a fence is almost always more costly than a repair. Depending on the condition of your fence, we may be able to replace a single vinyl fence panel or just a few slats on your cedar fence instead of replacing the fence entirely. A chain link fence may also only require a little bit of attention rather than replacing the whole fence. We can take a look at your fence and talk you through options.

2) Usability

If your fence posts are beginning to lean, it's clear that your fence needs some attention--preferably before it gets any worse! Leaning fences can be a hazard and can prevent you from being able to use your gates as easily as you'd like. If your fence is preventing you from being able to use your gates or yard, it's time to call in an expert! We may be able to correct the lean or other problem without tearing out the whole fence and are happy to explore options with you.

3) Aesthetic

Because of the extremes of weather here in Twin Falls, Idaho, some sections of fence may become more worn than others. This can be certain sections that become sun bleached, are affected by sprinklers and other water run off, or even sections that become scratched or scuffed by pets. One section of your fence may appear more worn than others, and we can replace just that section. Your yard doesn't have to fall into complete disarray before you fix your fence, and at Certified Fencing, we are at your service to make your vision come to life.

A little bit of wear and tear on your fence doesn't mean you'll need a full replacement! Give us a call at (208) 449-2040 to explore options. We may be able to fix your fence so that you can benefit from the affordability, usability, and aesthetic that comes from a fence repair!
